Now I’m not sure how many of you have ever heard of chilifest, but spoiler alert… there is no chili. It’s a time for college students to come together and enjoy some country music, dancing, and of course booze. I say everyone deserves to experience this at least once in their lifetime, but a beer shower is not for everyone.
For my senior year of college, I went with my roomies, which was probably the best choice I could’ve made. To best prepare you for your first chilifest, I have added my ‘shop the look’ below for you.
Keep in mind that you will be walking a bunch and your shoes will get trashed, mainly because of all the mud and beer. I wore my ‘not so expensive’ tennis shoes, but I have also seen girls wear their cowboy boots (if you have some).
For your T-shirt, you usually get those from the frat/men’s org that you went with. If you didn’t go with one, just create your own beer/country music shirt! Nothing too fancy, since it will get dirty within the first hour!

I hope you enjoy your first chilifest experience! Now the only trick that I can’t help with… is getting home. Make sure you have a ride back home, since there is hardly any phone service out here!
